We must be the luckiest parents in the world! Evie is a perfect little angel! She loves to sleep and make funny faces. She hardly ever cries (only if she is hungry...which is totally understandable) and will sleep at night for 4 to 5 hours sometimes. She is a little sweetheart and we love her so much! I can't believe she is almost a month old, time goes so fast, but we are trying to enjoy every minute of it!

Evie Christine Mason!
She finally came! She was only a day late but it felt like a lot longer. Jacob and I have been so ready for her to come and were getting a little impatient. Here are a couple of my last pregnancy photos.
36 Weeks
38 Weeks
40 Weeks and 1 day! Right before we left for the hospital.
I started feeling contractions all Saturday night and then by about 5:00am they started becoming more consistent but still about 10 minutes apart. We just hung out at the house all morning and enjoyed a movie and some breakfast and then headed for the hospital at about 1 pm because the contractions were coming about 5 minutes apart.
We had the whole hospital to ourselves so we walked laps around it for a while and they let me eat ice chips...yeah, great huh? The doctor broke by water at about 3:00 and then it was just a waiting game. I guess Evie just wanted to wait to the very last minute! We started pushing at about 8:30 and Jacob was a great coach a huge help to keep me going. she was finally born at 11:05 on November 13th, 2011!
It was an amazing experience and I feel like it is impossible to put into words all the emotions I felt when I got to hold her! We are both so grateful we get to have her be apart of our eternal family.
Everything went really really well, our doctor was fantastic and the hospital staff was incredible. Since we had her so late on Sunday night they wanted to have us stay until Tuesday. Jacob was a trouper just hanging out for two days at the hospital and waiting on me and Evie hand and foot. He is the most amazing man, husband, and father.
Our first family photo right before we left the hospital!
She is the sweetest little girl we could ask for! We are so blessed to finally have her here and able to hold! Life a really good!

Fun Projects!
Here is our new rust bucket! We bought it a while ago for really cheap and Jacob has had a good time trying to fix it up a little bit. It runs great and passes inspection, it's nice to just have a beater truck to use for odd jobs. It's makes me laugh because we have gone on a couple of motorcycle rides and my sister-in-law was wondering if all the vibrating made me feel like I was going to go into labor but the truth is...the motorcycle is a very luxurious ride compared to the truck!
We aren't sure how long we are going to keep it but it is fun for now. It would be a great project for Jacob if he had an extra time to spend on it! Now that is Jacob's kind of fun project and here is what I think is a fun project. I guess just the difference between men and women!
Here is the start of blocks to hang in the baby's room. Eventually they will have the baby's name in block letters, once we decide on a name, that is! I'm very excited about the baby's room I think it is going to be very cute. My mom and I went and bought fabric and she is making me a whole matching set of things for the room, I can't wait! I am also sanding down an old rocking chair we got from a friend but I haven't made much progress on it yet. Hopefully the baby doesn't come for a little while longer so I can finish all the fun ideas I have.

Really there are other things going on in our life than just my growing belly but we are really bad at taking pictures of those other things. Two weeks ago we got to go to Moab for the Holyoak reunion. I was so nice spending time with family and spending time on the mountains. I miss that place and all those people! It was a really good weekend other than our car broke down and we ended up having to tow it back to Salt Lake so we could get it fixed. I think Caleb posted some pictures of that trip on Facebook if you would like to see that adventure. Other than that we have jut been trying to stay on top of work , school, and the apartments and get ready for our little girl to come. Here are some pictures of the belly and pictures from our ultrasound at 31 weeks.

31 Weeks, yes that is her hand and her big toe on her forehead:)
32 Weeks and a few days! We are getting closer!

Life has been crazy, but crazy good! We got to spend a week down in Moab and we were able to be there for Titan's blessing. Now we are back home, the Seniors just moved out of our apartments and we are working hard to get ready for the students to move in on Friday. We are starting school again on Monday and both of us will be working as well. We will be very busy but we are enjoying life and are so excited for our baby girl to get here in November. Here are a a few more pictures of my ever growing belly.

First Motorcycle Trip
So it took Jacob two years to talk me into it but he finally convinced me and we bought a motorcycle. It only took him another 6 months to get me to go on a road trip on the motorcycle :). We headed out with Jacob's parents and some of their friends to Bryce and Zions National Parks. This is the whole group before we headed out.
This was one of the most pretty road trips I have ever been on, we took back country road almost the whole way. Sorry I don't have any pictures, silly us came with a dead camera. Luckily we did bring the charger so we only missed the first day. The first night we stopped in Escalante and stayed, it's just a little town but has a little tribute to the pioneers who came through hole in the rock, which was a lot of my family, so that was neat to see.
Next we drove through Bryce Canyon National Park, it was a pretty chilly day and the higher we went the colder it got, but luckily this was about the only time the whole trip I was cold.
The lookouts were really breath taking and made me feel very grateful to be able to live in such a beautiful state.
.
The crew all geared up
The next day we headed over to Zions National Park, Jacob and I have both been there before but we both decided it was much better driving around on a motorcycle. It just seems like you could see everything so much better and neither of us really wanted to leave.
We decided to go on a little hike to an overlook.
Jacob just can help but do a little climbing along the way.
It was a really fun trip and now I am much more comfortable on the motorcycle, we can't wait to get the chance to go on another trip!

So it really hasn't been 6 months sense my last blog because we are just so boring there is nothing to blog about...it's quite the opposite actually. We have been so busy with lots of fun things but I only have time to fill you in on a few. First is Jacob's trip to Alabama. He joined the Baja Team at Utah State and spent hours and hours and hours and more hours (but I'm not bitter about how much time it took at all....can't you tell :)) No but really, I am really proud at how hard he worked, and in my opinion the car would have never gotten finished if it weren't for Jacob and all his hours. After all their hard work they got to go over to Alabama and see how well their car was built.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!
I have found that I don't really do much typing on the blog so I thought for a little bit of a change I could a tad bit more typing and a little bit more narrative on how are lives are going.
Life is so good for Jacob and I, we have been so blessed and continue to be blessed. Right now both of us have the opportunity to be going to school full time and working towards a degree. I will hopeful have my Bachelors degree by next year and Jacob will have his Masters in 3 years. We currently both have employment opportunities as well, I get to work from home and Jacob is working for the school. Also we have the great blessing of managing apartments while we attend school. This can be stressful at times but really has been such a blessing to us. All I can say is life is good!
This year I turned 22 years old, wow does that seem old or is it just me. I have surpassed all of those ages that I waited so long to get to. Like turning 8 and being able to get baptized, then 12 when you were finally a big kid and could go to young womens, or 13 when you officially become a teenager, or even better 16 when dating could begin, then 18 when you can sort of call yourself an adult, and then 21...wait what could I do at 21? Never mind, it just seems like I had been looking to all of those time frames that it is kind of strange to now have another life changing age come along until maybe 40 I guess. It is so exciting to think what could happen in then next 18 years. I really have no idea where we will be but I am excited to see where life will take us.
My friend Felicia made me this cake for my birthday, isn't it beautiful, just looking at it you would have thought it was a really expensive cake we bought from a store!
Jacob bought me a computer chair for my birthday, it is really nice because I was just using a hard kitchen chair. After sitting on one of those for 5 hours then sitting on the same uncomfortable chairs at the school for another 3 hours I was not a happy camper!
We had several couples over (I tried to get a group picture but it never happened) and we all ate cake and ice cream and played games, it was a great birthday even if it was a boring age like 22!
